Communications

It's a great idea to track your communications - be it a chance meeting in an elevator, an email, or a conference video call.

Communications are tagged by type (phone call, meeting, video call, in person etc.). They link all of the people involved, so both clients and colleagues are associated, and they have an optional "follow-up" date to automatically remind you to get back in touch.

You can manually log a call or meeting, or just BCC ORCA on an email and let it do the rest.


Log a New Communication

Click "New Communication" and enter the date, type (call, email, in-person, etc.), participants, and summary.

You can attach files, link to records, and assign follow-up tasks.


Automatic Capture

Just BCC comms@orca-crm.com when sending emails. It will analyse the message and find participants, match to records, and archive the conversation - No more digging through inboxes to find what someone said.


AI Assist

On any communication detail page, open the side panel (right edge of the screen) and select the AI Assist tab. You can ask the AI to summarise a long email thread, pull out action items, or give you broader context on the relationship - for example, "What else have we discussed with this contact recently?" The AI uses your linked records to give grounded, relevant answers.
