Threaded Notes
Threaded Notes are the perfect way to jot something down quickly, without losing context. Whether it's a passing thought, a quick update or a heads-up for the rest of the team, these short messages stack chronologically and are visible to everyone in your account.
Notes live in three main places:
- Accounts – Great for company-wide observations or updates.
- Contacts – Perfect for personal insights or reminders.
- Records – Keep track of changes, ideas, or decisions relating to a specific piece of work.
Each note is timestamped and attributed, so it's clear who said what and when. And because they're threaded, follow-up messages stay grouped – giving your team the full picture without clutter.
Typical Use Cases
- You’ve just come off a call with a client and want to make sure your colleagues are in the loop before the next meeting.
- A quick update on a key project – no need for a full communication, just a note that others can see.
- You’re about to go on holiday and want to leave behind a breadcrumb trail of recent activity or things to keep an eye on.
Tips
- Notes can be added inline from any record or contact – just look for the Notes section to right of records, or below contacts.
- You can add as many follow-up notes as needed.
Who can see what?
All notes are visible to everyone in your account with access to that contact, or record. This means you don’t have to forward emails or ping people individually – if they’re in the loop, they’ll see the thread.
Threaded Notes are a lightweight but powerful way to share insights and updates without overthinking the format. Drop a note, hit save, and carry on – your team will thank you.
