Introduction

Exploring ORCA with Demo Accounts

ORCA comes with four pre-loaded demo accounts filled with realistic data. They're great for getting to grips with the platform, seeing how custom sections work in practice, or showing ORCA to someone new, without touching your real data.

Every authenticated user can access all four demo accounts at any time. No setup, no invitation required.

How to Access a Demo Account

Open the account chooser from the navigation (the account name in the top bar). Your real accounts appear at the top. Below them, under Explore ORCA, you'll find the four demo accounts. Click one to switch into it.

The Four Demo Accounts

Clyde Commons Initiative

A community-led urban regeneration NGO based in Glasgow. They're working with councils, housing associations, and community groups to transform underused urban spaces into something worth having.

The account includes grant-funded project companies, a team of three, and two custom sections: Funding Applications (with a colour-coded Status picklist running from In Prep through to Awarded or Rejected) and Projects (with site photos as file attachments, which appear as thumbnails in the record list and image cards in gallery view).

SKiNT.

An organic, ethical skincare company making products that are good for your skin and don't cost the planet. Small-batch, thoughtfully sourced, no greenwashing.

The account includes partner organisations, a team of three, and two custom sections: Supplier Audits (with a Certification Status picklist) and Retail Partners (with audit report images as file attachments). A good example of what a supplier compliance workflow looks like when it's been running for a while.

Uncommon Miles

A last-mile logistics company built around electric cargo bikes, zero-emission delivery, and a fair-pay gig economy model. Ethical supply chains, practically applied.

The account includes delivery partner and client companies, a team of three, and two custom sections: Service Contracts and Routes (with route map images as file attachments - another good example of file-type entity fields and gallery view in action).

Curtain Call Management

A London talent and acting agency representing actors, voice artists, and presenters. The team manage relationships with casting directors, production companies, and broadcasters across theatre, film, and TV.

The account includes industry contacts (venues, production houses, broadcasters), a team of three, and two custom sections tracking talent pipelines with kanban-enabled status picklists. A good example of ORCA used for professional services and relationship management rather than a product or project workflow.

What You Can and Can't Do

Demo accounts are read-only. You can browse everything: records, contacts, to-dos, staff chat, custom sections, the lot. Any attempt to create, edit, or delete something will be politely declined.

A banner at the top of every page reminds you that you're in a demo account.

Switch back to your real account any time via the account chooser.
